Ukulele

After living in Hawaii for many years, I became accustomed to sitting on my lanai or enjoying a susnset on the beach and fondly listening to the sounds of ukulele dancing through the warm winds. It became as familiar as the evening rains and the chirping geckos at night that I miss so much. I took it for granted that I became so accustomed to that wonderful music that is so much a part of Hawaiian culture. I attended the Maui ukulele festival every year and loved how at parties and weddings people sang and played with such beauty and with Aloha spirit. I have taken on this instrument in the last year attending weekly lessons with hopes that I too will be able to play with lots of Aloha and have the courage to join in at parties and campfires alike in the near future. For now, lots and lots of practice...
